With over 20 years experience in the Northern Rivers region, RCS Group has a trusted reputation of delivering quality professional services in a friendly, uncomplicated, and personal manner.

The company offers a full range of services to both the private and public sector and operates terrestrial and GNSS survey equipment. Surveying services include topographic, cadastral, engineering, land title surveys, control, data administration, GNSS and route surveys. Engineering services cover Civil Design, Town-Planning, Environmental Engineering, and Project Management.

RCS Group provides the following services to our valued clients:

  • All aspects of urban and rural land surveying including boundary, building set-out, identification, and contour surveys.
  • Engineering set-out and conformance surveying.
  • Advice and guidance on town planning for urban and rural land subdivisions & boundary adjustments.
  • Civil Engineering design of all types of commercial and residential infrastructure.
  • Project Management of urban and rural land development projects.

Quality Assurance and Workplace Health & Safety

RCS Group has an internal Quality Assurance System which is used to identify and implement quality assurance requirements. The practices and procedures have not been externally audited for ISO QA Certification, however, the company has been audited by ACSIS (Professional Body) for Professional Indemnity Insurance purposes and has received one of the highest grades in the State for the ACSIS Audit.

The company has a fully documented Work Health & Safety System which it utilises to identify and implement Safe Work practices. Risk Assessment and Safe Work Method Statements ensure that the company is compliant with legislative requirements. Our Work Health & Safety procedures ensure that our work environment is safe for staff, co-workers and the public. Risk assessment and risk minimisation is an essential component to our commitment and work ethic.


RCS Group carries an extensive and comprehensive range of insurances so that when we work for you, we are ensuring your liability and risk is minimised.

Insurance cover includes;

  • Professional Indemnity to $1million
  • Public Liability cover to $20 million
  • Workers Compensation for full staff coverage
  • Mobile Plant and Equipment for damage, theft and breakdown
  • Comprehensive insurance of office systems, files and data.

Certificates of currency are available upon request.


RCS Group is a small business and as such we can maintain our direct contact with our client base. We offer personal service and enjoy a close working relationship with our clients. Our professional and support staff are always available to discuss your needs. Our professional staff are fully trained and accredited with participation in continuing Professional Development activities mandatory for employment. The company owns and operates a full range of modern technical equipment including “one-man” operating systems with Robotic Total Stations and Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GNSS equipment.

RCS Group is committed to protecting privacy in accordance with the 11 Information Privacy Principles of the Information Privacy Act 2009. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in response to legal requirements.

How We Work

  • We offer an initial obligation-free telephone consultation to familiarise ourselves with your project.
  • We may offer fixed price quotes for small projects or hourly rates for larger projects.
  • Clients are asked to confirm their acceptance of our quotes by completing Work Approval and Terms of Trade forms.
  • Upon receipt of client approval we agree on a suitable time to commence the project.
  • Small projects  of less than $1,000 incl GST require a 50% deposit before work commences. The balance is payable within 7 days of completion of the project and interest may be charged on overdue invoices.
  • Larger projects priced on hourly rates are generally invoiced monthly with Time Sheet Statements providing a history of our work. These terms are agreed with the client before projects commences.
